The SECIMAVI, Syndicat des Entreprises de Commerce international de Matériel Audio, Vidéo et Informatique, is a trade association representing consumer electronics and IT businesses across product segments: televisions, computers, telephony, audio-video, HiFi, embedded electronics, printers and large household appliances.
SECIMAVI members are subsidiaries or branches of large international groups, or importers of electronic equipment, and French SMEs.
The sectors of activity of our members cover all the product families of consumer electronics and IT: computer products (PCs, tablets, hard drives), printers, smartphones and residential phones, televisions, home cinema, HiFi, portable audio, headphones, car radios, LED light bulbs and household appliances.
Our members’ business sector contributes up to €19 billion per year to the French economy, divided between 40% for telephony equipment, 35% for IT and 25% for audio-video-photo.
Our industry directly employs more than 12,000 people in France.
SECIMAVI’s mission is to support its members to help them understand these changes and to guarantee the best possible conditions for the marketing of their products.
Market intelligence, lobbying, involvement in the evolution of regulations, training and advice are the basis of our trade association’s work.
France is one of the most important European markets for consumer electronics. It is therefore essential that our union reflects the dynamism and initiatives of companies investing in the new technology economy.
With the support and expertise of our parent federation, FICIME, we defend the interests of our members with French and European institutions on a daily basis.
